With the first day of spring only a little over a month away (!) we are getting excited to start thinking about our outdoor play space.
Homemade Playdough is one of our favourite sensory materials to have in our classrooms. We've been using Rachelle Doorley's Recipe from 'Tinkerlab' since we opened and have always had success with the finished product. Her website and book have wonderful resources for tinkering, crafting and creating https://tinkerlab.com/
I've written a version of this post many times over the last 2 years. I've always refrained from posting or sending it to our families, however, as we inch closer to 2018 and we still find ourselves in the same situation at the hands of our Department and Minister, I feel that it's imperative to clearly share our experience and frustrations to families and our child care community.
This is the type of recipe you can throw in your biggest pot in the morning, let it simmer for most of the day and then divide it into portions to freeze for quick lunches and dinners. We feel great about serving this as a lunch due to the high protein packed into just one bowl. Or as some of our Toddlers do - 5 bowls.
